COMPUTATIONAL SIMULATION

Tutor: Frank Melendez, Assistant Professor SSA CCNY

Work by students:
Conor Incledon, Karyna Yanovska

This course focuses on the use of agent-based and physics-based simulations. Through the use of particle spring systems, students can begin to explore the use of computational simulations as part of the design process. This introduces design methodologies that are based on emergent principles, bottom-up systems, and generative design. These methods are based on natural systems and conditions such as flocking, swarm behavior, and forces, such as gravity.
